Senior Squad

Senior Squad

Swimmers usually progress into the Step Rock Senior Squad towards the end of Primary 7. The Senior Squad sessions are both at East Sands Leisure Centre, on Mondays and Thursdays from 8-9pm. Alternative or additional sessions up to a maximum of 7 hours per week may be offered depending on space, attendance, commitment to galas and proficiency. Recently a small group of senior squad swimmers have been training on a monthly basis in the 50m pool at the National Swimming Academy in Stirling, together with swimmers from three other Fife clubs.

It is expected that all Senior Squad swimmers will compete for the club at at least 2 of the Novice/Fife Leagues if selected. Many Senior Squad swimmers also compete at other galas throughout the year, which the club strongly encourages.

There is no additional kit needed for Senior Squad – it’s the same as for Junior Squad though please keep it up-to-date as you grow!
