Our club is run by volunteers so we do hope that parents and carers can help us in sharing some of the duties required to run the club and when we go to swim meets and galas. All of our coaches commit their free time to making training plans and training our children to a high standard in small groups and they are constantly assessing and enhancing our children’s skills.
Any help and time you as a parent or carer can give makes a difference and is much appreciated. We meet as a committee around once per month and as well as the Office Bearing roles there are other roles that we rely on parent helpers to do.
We need people to help as runners at events, share any skills they have that could help the club and we always need help with Technical roles at swim galas and events for example to Time Keep and Judge.
We do arrange free training courses for these roles and encourage you to take part if you can – the more technical officials we have, the less we rely on the same people to help out.
We currently also need swim coaches for the junior swimmers and Covid Officers – training will be given. Please email our Training Officer at sto@steprock.org.uk for further details.
